Privacy Policy

Effective Date -- May 1, 2007

We work hard to protect your privacy while providing the  products and services to bring you the convenience and protection you deserve for your Web experience.  This privacy policy explains how seminformatics, a part of Seminformatics, collects and uses information about users of our products, services, and Web sites including: Search Plus and seminformatics.com.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you

Types of Information We Collect

As with most Web products and services, Search Plus and general use of our Web sites sends certain information back to seminformatics servers.  This information falls into three categories:

Personally-Identifying Information. "Personally-Identifying Information" means information that, without the aid of additional information, can be directly associated with a specific person or entity including but not limited to a name, phone number or email address.  seminformatics does not collect or require end-users of our products to furnish Personally-Identifying Information.

Non-Personally-Identifying Information. "Non-Personally-Identifying Information" means information that cannot be directly associated with a specific person or entity. Non-Personally-Identifying Information includes but is not limited to your computer's configuration, the version of our products you use, and cookies.

A cookie is a small string of information that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us your preferences, how and when our services are used, and by how many people.  Our cookies do not collect personal information, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.  You may consult with the help documentation for your browser to learn how to configure cookie preferences.  We recommend that you leave the cookies activated, however, because cookies enable you to take advantage of all of our product features.

Potentially Personally-Identifying Information. "Potentially Personally-Identifying Information" means information that is Non-Personally-Identifying Information in and of itself but that could be used in conjunction with other information to personally identify you. For example, Uniform Resource Locators ("URLs") (the addresses of web pages) and Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses (the addresses of computers on the internet), which are Non-Personally-Identifying Information in and of themselves, could be Personally-Identifying Information when combined with internet service provider ("ISP") records.

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
